    2016 521 Repower

    I am in the process of repowering my 2016 521 with a Merc 4 stroke..

    PRIOR (2 STROKE) I had lithiums in the rear and bow lift issues until I swapped to a Temptest 25p worked by Croxton (added cup).

    Up front I have a Garmin Force, 126sv and 106sv. All of my tackle is in the rear and I do have a hydraulic jackplate. I may have them drop one more hole on the motor during the install.

    Any recommended props to try? Was thinking a temptest 23.

    23P Tempest is what I would try for a 3 blade. For that boat a 23-24P Bravo 4 blade might be better.

    I have the exact same boat and essentially the same up front with tackle in the rear, I currently run a 24 Tempest with my new Merc 4 Stroke. But my boat seems to like the jackplate all the way down vs. having it raised.
