I'm about as pro FFS as you can get, but I love seeing some non FFS options popping up. That way you can ask some of the biggest whiners why they didn't put their entry fee in

So are the Johnston brothers. Gustafson won a Classicby scoping. Palaniuk can scope. Multiple names on that list are good with it too.

Yes, but as the organizer stated, "ya gotta start somewhere"

They supposedly had just under 100 boaters pledge, but just 50 paid. He's leaving registration open as long as he can get the CC payment to clear before Launch. Of course, if someone enters they will have to had not fished Lanier during the off limits.

There were a couple more big names that said they want to be part of the tour, but had conflicts with this first Tx. Poche being one.

It'll be interesting with the big names in there. Not sure if it was intentional or not but putting it through the week before the Harris chain I'm sure helped nab extra elites. Good tune up and chance at a payday on the way down to Florida.
Definitely not surprised Wagner is on there. He's a big time guide on Lanier.

Wish they would have a TX where only 1 "Little Green Box" was allowed.

Yeah, I'm sure they're towing their rowboats behind their velocipedes or will it be a "Steam Punk" kind of gathering?

360 isn't allowed either. They consider it a form of FFS.

It will henceforth be known as "Amish Anglers Rules" fishing.

How is it non-FFS? Do they have to remove the units or promise not to use them?

The part I love is clearing out everyone's units before the tournament. No way points or anything. They'll go out for their 4 hour ride around the day before and mark stuff, then use their heading sensor with distance arrow on their graph to make precise cast. Might as well take the graph away too. Gonna be a sight fishing bonanza except for Wagner (who Randy and a few others claim can't catch a fish without FFS). Guess we'll see....

I was going to say, the VERY FIRST pro is one of the best scopers on Lanier (Emil). Will be interested to see how he handles fishing "blind" since he runs around on 10 targeting suspended spots. He probably knows the usual spots will hold them still and fish history.

Honestly, not really. Tournaments, especially lower level, run on entry fees not on nice comments.

Will be interesting to see how they enforce the equipment rules. It would be kind of annoying to have to fully remove ffs for one tournament, but would be hard to trust the “I unplugged it bro” rule too.
