Recently acquired a 2005 Z21 and need to mount some equipment (big Ram mount, rod holders, FFS transducer pole) on the front deck. What's the material and how thick is it?
I'm guessing that I can remove the front panel to access the underside for nut/bolt installs.

I would say its fiberglass encased over marine-ply. Approx 1" give or take total thickness.

Yes you can remove the front panel.
Bass Boat Technologies makes replacements if you want to mount a graph to the panel.
