I’m currently running a 24 pitch trophy 4 blade. Just wondering what others are running I’d like to be able to get on plane faster with a full load and a passenger, with just me it’s fine but add another 200lb guy and fill livewells it takes a long time to plane. I’m considering going to a three blade prop but not sure if it’ll help and props aren’t cheap.

There were 2 different 200hp mercurys. 200 built on a 2.5 liter block and a 200 efi and opti built on a 3.0 liter block
the 2.5 liter 200 is kind of a dog and somewhat underpowered. Less low end torque. The 3.0 200 is a more powerful motor. Your 200 efi is most likely a 2.5 liter 200. With the 2.5 200 you need a 23p tempest for best results.
