    Hip Drop Tackle is out!

NFL owners vote no more tackles like that.
I'm not sure how I feel but less injuries is always a good thing.

I'm all for it. More of a MMA fight move to injure rather than a clean football play.

Less injuries is a good thing but they are starting to make the game really lopsided toward the O.

How should a 180lb corner tackle a tight end or running back? I thought it was the safest type of tackle for everyone... I guess not.

Imagine trying to tackle a running back without this technique. Basically takes the defensive tackles out of the game.

This rule is going to suck. The funny thing is this style of tackle became far more common when they started enforcing getting the helmet out of the tackle.

Hip Drop Tackle? Can't find them anywhere. Are they sold at Tackle Warehouse?

I can see this becoming like roughing the quarterback, very subjective in many cases.

LOL, i thought this was some sort of new bait company. Jeez NFL, just play the game and make sure you save your millions for when you are injured.

My thought as well. You didn't see it as much when you could just go helmet to helmet with someone

so I guess you gotta keep your feet planted in the tackle - or you can't pin their legs when you fall. looks like rugby banned it. best step for the NFL is to remove all the pads.

I bet very few people could hold up to an NFL LB, defense lineman defensive back hitting you at full game speed. Would probably change some opinions about them being soft.
