Linders. Taught natural lake fishing and multi species. Most southern fishing is the same over and over, still good.

I got to shake hands with Hank Parker at the Classic yesterday. I told him that he's the man who taught me how to tie. a Palomar knot when I used to watch him on the old Nashville Network. He was my mentor and what directed me toward bass fishing when I was taking my son fishing.

I alway felt like Bill Dance and Roland Martin were more product oriented infomercial than info....just sayin'.
    Don't worry Ma'am....
    I'm only here for the
    Bass.

In terms of learning from watching a fishing TV show, there's no doubt that Al and Ron Lindner were the best.

In terms of being entertained and watching for the love of fishing, then Jerry McKinnis' Fishin' Hole was the best.
"The man of system is apt to be very wise in his own conceit; and is often so enamored with the supposed beauty of his own ideal plan of government that he cannot suffer the smallest deviation from any part of it…He seems to imagine that he can arrange the different members of a great society with as much ease as the hand arranges the different pieces upon a chessboard.” Adam Smith, The Theory of Moral Sentiments

I enjoyed them all. Used to love Virgil Ward showing the baits that they used in an aquarium at the end of the show.
