If you have it palletized, use this outfit for a freight quote. https://www.freightquote.com/book/#/free-quote/mode

I shipped an engine from FL to Pittsburg for about $125 brought it to the freight terminal and they took it off the trailer and brought it into the terminal.

    I looked into them.

do you recall what company you used?

from what i gathered, fed ex seemed cheapest. Still was in the $600 range

unfortunatly, NY long island is a one way in one way out, which ups cost

anyone use frank mole? Hes a sponsor on scream n high

And yes, it would be crated and palletized, professionally 100% secure.

Have a mercury or yamaha service center ship it for you. Theyll have a crate from a new motor etc.

Thats what I did when I sold my 2s.

    its a private sale.

Corresponding Merc dealer agreed to crate and pack, but does not want to take ownership dealing with shipping.
    Which is understandable

I looked into it last year to ship a HPDI 250 from MI to MO was averaging about 700 to 800 and they wanted me to have a forklift to load it

I had no issue with that its just read the fine print of some of these companies they will make you jump through a bunch of hoops if you have a problem

I ended up taking it myself built a pallet loaded it on the truck and all said and done not counting food it was a wash on the cost plus I got it there safe and 2 days earlier

I went with R&L carriers CH Robinson is a broker and they posted several carriers. R&L was the cheapest. Terminal to terminal.
