Not sure if your model has 2 relays (1 up 1 down) but if it does swap it and see if it follows. That's how I determined mine when it stopped. Installed new relay good to go.

Check for a Trim Limit Module (Ranger commonly strapped them to the PCM wiring Plugs). If your trim sender is not working properly, the tri-lobe pin has fallen out, or the module is failing, it can interrupt "up" trim relay operation.

Trim gauge is working correctly. Switched relays, now both up and down are working. Weird. Ordered two new relays just in case.
