mounting black box 521C ideas

Curious the installation set up on 521C with the black box any wiring? Curious where box is inalled etc.

I put mine up in the starboard side compartment so my cords could be short as possible to my wiring harness and graph it’s wired into. Shorter the run to the unit to unit is best per guy that gave me advice that rigs boats.

Mine's on driver side rod box.....its also opposite side of the TM wire routing......

Mounted in the bow under the the depth finders on my 520c very easy to do.

I put mine in storage compartment in front of the Helim works out good for the wiring and cable’s

Mine is bout the same as others... day box sidewall right beside my 3d structure scan box.
Only thing i ran into was having to purchase another cable to extend the power wire or transducer cable can't remember which 1 it was. But it was another $40-$50 purchase to make mine work for where i mounted it.

Mine is in my starboard day box and I removed very little foam under the bow and used a uni bit and put a hole in the plastic forward locker rod tip boot worked out great also mounted the gls 10 black box on 1/2 inch tube spacers so it's not sitting against the carpet for 360* air flow 2014 z521c

Depending on the boat you have you can do it like I have and put them both in the forward starboard compartment on the inside wall of a Ranger 520/521 and run the wire through the hard plastic nose that opens to the front electronics access panel. Weaving power from the small day box compartment to the power with heavy gauge wire makes for a tight bend. Wiring heavy gauge from the front and wrapping in electrical casing wide's it well and protects the wiring run.

You mean the small compartment right in front of the console (day box) or the rod locker? I don't want to use up the space in the day box.
