We are living in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

Only been to Fort Worth, Houston, Freeport and Galviston. Never met a rude person tho and the BBQand tex/mex were great. All travel was for work but from what I saw, I would live there….except for that one time in August and it was 120 outside. Now that I think of it, there were mosquitos the size of seagulls in May…oh and the time it snowed in Freeport. It has its good and bad parts just like everywhere else.

Same reason most on here are proud to be American. It's instilled into you all of your life. But, if you aren't from Texas, you just don't understand. People from Texas feel we don't want or need any other states help. You live your life and we will live ours. We don't need your political beliefs, culture, or anything because we have our own.

    Yep, the Bonnie Blue Flag.

The "Bonnie Blue flag" was a banner associated at various times with the Republic of Texas, the short-lived Republic of West Florida, and the Confederate States of America at the start of the American Civil War in 1861. It consists of a single, five-pointed white star on a blue field. Its first use being as early as 1810, it is considered the first lone star flag in U.S. history.

No Texan here, but I did most of my pilot training here. It is a great, very diverse state where people are friendly, the food is phenomenal and most common-folk are tenaciously independent. I would be proud of that too.

As a Canadian who has lived in Texas. I would choose no other place to live. I go to Texas, 3 times a year now. Will most like move back to Texas when we retire. Fantastic people, great weather and awesome fishing.

It's interesting that most take this as a negative or critical question. That being said, CJ Stroud is a great answer!

Yeah, but Austin is a fairly straightforward siege whenever Texans decide they’ve had enough.
