    1987 Ranger 395 VS

    I purchased this 1987 Ranger 395 VS from a friend 4 months ago for $2500.00 and it has 183 hours on the motor the interior is in perfect shape 225 Excel Yamaha runs strong.

    I had the same boat. It was red, blue and silver. I loved that boat, i ran it many hours on lake Erie. Unfortunately, the hull busted on the port side rod box. I can say for sure that that boat won`t sink!
    I was told that this is a hull flaw on these. My boat was totaled. Bummer! I know a guy that has one, that the hull was reinforced on the inside of the rod boxes. If I were you , I would keep a eye on any cracks along the outside of the rod boxes. Before mine broke, I started to notice some cracking in the gelcoat.
    That was my favorite Ranger, I've owned 4. No fear in real 5 footers in that 395.

    I purchased a '86 395VS for my first Ranger in 2005 for 5k. The Bilge in those boats has some serious cubic feet of storage. Great find, it looks to be in fantastic shape. Congratulations.
