    Global Entry

Has anyone gotten this lately? I would like to know how long processing takes these days. I have an overseas trip planned for early September and I’m hoping I have enough time to get it done.

In typical govt fashion…doesn’t look good. https://help.cbp.gov/s/article/Artic...language=en_US

Get the application going and schedule a remote interview.

The good news is renewal is online and pretty quick.

GF and I got our Global Entry during Covid in 2021 and it seemed to take forever. The interview with border patrol was delayed several times. Hoping it’s a lot smoother when it’s time to renew.

It keeps getting better and worth the hassle for me. My most recent trip I never even stopped walking though there were at least a thousand people at DFW Immigration. A camera recognized my face and I was just waved through. Always TSA Pre-approved on domestic flights too. Reliably quick passage through customs & immigration is a comfort for connecting flights.

Unfortunately the remote interview is only for renewals. I am putting in a new application.

It looks like I can try to schedule the interview before I even get the conditional approval. I am trying to figure out how far down the road to schedule it.
