I have the Ridgid and lifetime warranty on tool and batteries. According to the specs it is more powerful than any of what I would consider lower end box store ones(Dewalt, makita, Milwaukee, etc)

Wow no love for Kobalt. 24volt max brushless 1/2 in drive. Had it around 2yrs. Mostly used for removing tires
Wes
My son used his Ryobi to remove the hubs on his Toyota that are torqued to over 150 lbs. I figured if it'll work for that it'll remove tires easily.
I run a Makita and it works great.
For trailer tires the M12 3/8 is all you need.

I have a Craftsman 1/2" impact driver with a torque tube on it and it works great for tire changes. I keep it under the back seat of my truck right next to the bottle jack. There are a number of options for what you're looking for. DeWalt, Milwaukee, Ryobi, and Craftsman all make reliable, capable, lithium powered impact drivers.

All my cordless tools are Dewalt/Mac and when they work they are great I love them. But I have had some bad ones.
my mac 1/2” impact shit out . Have had a couple 1/4” impact drivers give it up. 2 drills and 2 cordless grinders let me down oh and my newest 3/8 impact gave it up 3 months in.if my batteries weren’t all Dewalt I would probably try Milwaukee out. My luck with Dewalt is if it makes it through the first couple months I get years out of it. most the failures I’ve mentioned where within the first year and have been warrantied. I have had multiple others quit overtime but that was after getting my moneys worth many times over so I won’t mention them.
This is making me think I need to get a new impact gun. I have a M18 1/2" I bought around 10 years ago and even though its rated to 450 ft-lbs it won't break the lug nuts loose on my truck that is torqued down to 150 ft-lbs most of the time.

Whatever. Not everyone wants to spend the money on the Milwaukee. I'm saying, in the middle of the night, broke down on the side of the road, rusty lug nuts, raining, I'm not taking chances that my 3/8 drive "might" work. But I will support your theory, I bought the HF Hercules 1/2in driver, not the wrench, the driver. Good specs for removal torque, but I've had the thing struggle on a full charge to remove the lugs on my truck. I would have bought the wrench instead looking back. And I now this isn't comparable to Milwaukee quality.
Guess this is also why I still carry the breaking bar.
