    Da Bears

Traded for Keenan Allen from the Chargers.

Moore on one side and Allen on the other, now if they can get a QB to get either of them the ball quickly. Going to be a potential nightmare for defenses.

Bears acquire WR Keenan Allen from Chargers for 4th-round pick - ESPN

The bears have a combination of picks and money to be very dangerous this upcoming season.

I still think trading that #1 pick for multiple 1st rd picks is the way to go. IMO, Chicago needs a better line more than they need a better QB right now and more picks will help with that. OL free agency isn't that good right now.

That pick won't bring nearly what some think. Too many teams have solidified their QB positions already making it less likely to bring any first round pick that's high enough. While CW is expected to go first and Washington looking like a suitor, they can be comfortable staying at 2, and drafting Maye which some same could actually be a safer option. They the have a ton of picks to build around him. The Bears waited too long trying to shop Fields, and it now appears if he does go anywhere, it will be as a backup further reducing his trade value.

Check out YT videos by Adam Mason. He says after latest moves, the Bears have virtually no cap space after accounting for 2024 draft picks and $7-8M reserve for in-season deals. The team still has at least 7 needed players and only 4 draft picks. That leads him to conclude the team will keep Fields and engineer multiple trade downs for the #1 pick to get addl picks. he is certainly more inciteful than all of the click baits.

They’re going to draft #1, trade Fields during the draft to one of the teams that still needs a QB after the first round, and start Caleb Williams.

By the 5th game, William has the yips from getting sacked so often, and Allen & Moore are in a fight for the ball in order to reach their salary incentives.

I haven't seen this, but I didn't realize how much money Allen is due which obviously takes a good chunk out of the available money.

Minnesota just traded for another 1st rd pick today and are projected to move up. Minnesota's GM has already dealt players/picks to the other NFC north teams but not the bears. IF they are desperate enough, they could go to #1. The Bears are going to take advantage of them bad if that goes through though. Huge IF.

I think they extend Allen to reduce his cap hit, 3 year deal.

All Fields is, is a backup except in Chicago. Not much value in a trade.
