    2005 Champion 206 Elite with New 250 4 Stroke

About to hang a new 250 4Stoke on my 2005 Champ 206. Had a 250 XS Racing motor in the past and ran a 4 blade trophy. Anyone running this set up or have any ideas. Not after speed. Just see a lot of 24-25-23 pitch props on these new motors. Thanks for any help.

From what I've read, Mercury 4 stroke likes less pitch than the comparable 2 stroke and the SHO can run the same prop.

Yep you will need to drop down in pitch. I would see if you can borrow a 24P 4 blade or a 25P 3 blade to start.

I had tried a 25 4 blade Trophy and got little over 5700 RPM, not sure the speed cause GPS was not working. Hole shot was decent but the handling was crazy good. Speed may have been 60+. Got a 3 blade Fury copy in 23 pitch and still the exact same RPM, speed GPS was 63 handling was not good in turns, hold shot was great, but RPM way down. Ideas????
