The icon on my screen is opposite of where my trolling motor is pointed.

Get a Point 1 and make it the source for Heading data on the unit the AT is displaying. Set map direction to Heading Up. Should work fine then. I have no issues with mine at all.

I have 3 AT2 and view them on different screens that I switch around the AT2 source often depending on what I’m doing. Is there a solution for the Point 1 to make the heading indicator work properly?

That is the correct angle for forward mode.

All I know is if you use a Point 1 for heading data and have Heading Up selected on the Chart page, the direction icon functions as expected. But I only have 1 unit and 1 AT

Same here. I have a Point-1 and heading up is selected on the unit. Every now and then it will work as it should.

I have a Point 1, Pro and AT 2 on the bow, the indicator on my screen lags a tiny bit as I move the turret but points in the right direction when I stop the turret.

I agree it’s not instantaneous but it points in the right direction. Just takes a 1/2 second to get there

Mine ends up pointing in the right direction but it jumps prolly 60-90 degrees when turning the ducer.

I took that icon off my screen because it is next to useless anyway. I have an Ultrex trolling motor so the head of the Ultrex points exactly where the AT transducer is point 100% of the time and is much easier to line up targets IMHO then an Icon on a screen.

Odd reading the comments, this is one of the places where my AT actually shines. The pointer is accurate, the ghost arrow is not.

If you set your Point-1 as the source for heading, and make it global, and set the Chart setting to "Heading Up" like NoCAL said, it will work for all AT units connected. My indicators work perfectly, as does the pointer on my Ghost with no lag.

Good info. Just starting with the Active Target this year. I have the Ghost also and the point one deal sounds good. Thanks

The only thing I'd add is too make sure it is "level" with the trolling motor. With a point 1 my direction icon is correct, mostly only important to the guy in the back of the boat watching the feed on the console graph.

I've been frustrated with the AT and Ghost for the last two years. When I was installing my Ghost two years ago I asked, "why do I need this heading sensor when I have a point1?" Best answer was "you just do."

Just installed the BFE True Arrow. Be about 2-3 weeks before I get it out. I will also set the point1 as heading sensor. Still skeptical.

Just when I was getting pretty good at guessing where the sonar beam was at.
