    2005 Z21 with Mercury 250 value

My dad is looking at a very clean 2005 Z21 with a 250 Mercury 2 stroke. Boat is in great shape. No electronics come with the boat. Any idea what it would be worth?

The 2005 Z21 had a bit of a hull issue that Ranger addressed in 2006. The bow lift was affected. Make sure he test drives it.

I believe it’s a XS. It’s got the mercury racing decals on the cowl

My 2005 Z21 with Merc Racing 250 was a great rig! Just needed to trim down while coming off pad. My buddy still runs it…

I have seen them go from 20-25 depending on motor hours and how good of shape the boat is in. I would lean towards the 20 number if there's no electronics on the boat at all.

Might be an XB, that's a great motor if so.

Its most likely the Merc Racing 250. When I bought my '06 I wanted a Z21 but Merc still wasn't making the standard XS 250. The racing motor only came with a one or two year warranty while the XS had a five year warranty, that's why there's so many Z21/225 rigs out there. I went with a 225XS / Z20 instead. Obviously on a used rig this is a moot point. The racing 250 was a good engine.

Also, the RUDE's only had 225's at that time. I drew a guy with this combo and it was a dog compared to mine with 250 XS. I would not want that boat with a 225.

    Let me guess, 55MPH with a 225 and 60 with a 250?
