    Keeper!

Wife came home from running errands and said "Bass Pro has a reel trade in thing going. Do you have any old reels you want to trade in for new ones?". I already knew about it, but was not giving it too much thought since I already have a lot of really nice reels. But how can I turn that down?

She's always doing stuff like that. She's a keeper for sure.

It's never that easy. You can bet she's had her eyes on a new pair of shoes.

You are exactly right! But the pair of shoes she bought is okay by me. She gets the smallest size of these. Uses them for yardwork and getting the dogs out around our acreage:

I ended up with 2 new reels. Would have got a rod too (same trade in deal), but the wife kept saying "That's not as high end as your other rods.". And she is right. My rods are mostly NRX's and BP does not have much to offer in that category.

Whatever days I want, except weekends. Hate fishing with all that weekend traffic. Right now though, not as many as I'd like. My dirt bike club is putting on our 49th annual enduro in a couple of weeks, so been spending a lot of time clearing trails lately.

Its a trap. She's wanting something that's gonna cost a lot more than a reel.

My wife often does the same. Never bats a eye when I want something for the boat, or upgrade some rods and reels. However having it and getting it is fine and ofter with her encouragement of you should. Using it all on the other hand is a different story.

    Definitely a keeper.

After 36 years bass fishing I have accumalated enough tackle to use for 400 years. Dont smoke drink or gamble so I justify using the same monies on tackle. You do the math 36 x 52 weeks and its a lot of tackle. I am selling at a swap meet the 23rd and as soon as my GF steppped foot on the airplane yesterday morning I emptied all my tackle into 3 rooms to sort out for the sale. Shes gone for 2 weeks. If she ever saw what I own she would have another stroke. I am also setting up stuff to sell at a flea market and the better stuff will go on Ebay or in the classifieds here.
