    All Star Rods

Does anyone still have any All Star full cork handle rods? I use to love them rods back in the day, and would like to buy some if anyone has any. I know they haven’t been around in a while but if anyone has any they want to part with, let me know. Thanks

Are you sure they aren't being made anymore? I though I saw some at Academy not long ago.

Academy has some rods with the All Star name on them but they're really just generic overseas made rods with a label on them. The ones everyone is hot for is the old grey blank with dark red or maroon windings and have Made in Houston Tx on the butt.

That's it then, I know that is the first time I have seen them for several years.

I've owned an 8' all star spinning rod for the last 20 year's.

The older ones T38x, T40x, T80x and IM10x that said made in Houston are blanks made and rolled by Allstar in Houston. The Older IM10x blanks were the best of all those. The last blanks rolled and made in Houston were the Titanium blanks and were great blanks also and very sensitive. The newer IM10 blanks and the Platinum blanks were foreign made and not as good to my hands. Any of the older blanks that say Made In The USA including the IM6 were some of the best, they were the first Allstar blanks and were made by G Loomis.
