I'm glad you brought that up...I'd seen that they were a dealer on basscat.com a few weeks ago, but when I looked at wieda's site, Bass Cat wasn't an option...good to know.

I bought there, they're mantra, we move boats. Wasn't a lot of quibbling over prices, trade-in value, etc. I drove 8hrs there, gave me a good trade value, got there, went over the new boat, they tested my trade motor - Johnson Fucht. The last thing we talked about, sales guy says, "Hey, let's look at your trade." It was a week later, my trade was already sold and gone. It was a great trade boat, Ranger 461, just had the Ficht on it.

Actually, those Johnson/Evinrude FICHT motors were pretty solid overall. The larger big blocks gave them a bad rap.

my 2000 200hp ficht still runs like new on a stratos-- 3rd owner just bought it last week and she is going to the Carolina's next via tenn

have a friend with a 97 or 98 175 ficht still going strong and he is terrible on maintenance also

I can’t disagree. Mine only suffered from owner stupidity. Put over 400 flawless hours on that 175. But the bad press was out.

I purchased a used Skeeter from Weida's in 2016 and I was very impressed. I drove 6 hours each way and it was well worth it. They accurately represented the boat, they had the boat clean and ready for my inspection when I arrived, they were fair on the price that was negotiated. After I got the boat home there was a small problem. I called and they did the right thing without any hesitation. Several years after the sale (keep in mind this was a used boat not new) I needed some help / favor and I called them expecting to pay a premium price for what I needed. Not so, I was given great advice and sold the item I needed at a very fair price. I'd buy from them in the future, hope it's a Bass Cat!
