Adjusting vent plugs on a Bravo 1 FS?

I have a bravo 1 fs on a 250 Yamaha SHO. They say to plug all holes and run it that way. Can you adjust the plugs to improve holeshot? Maybe change to a couple small hole plugs?

I would target between 3500–4000 RPMs on hole shot. Adjust as needed

Ok, another question for you. Do props that create more bow lift on plane also create more bow lift during holeshot? Would the same also apply to props that create more stern lift?

Depends on where the cup is on the blades, how many blades motor height, and barrel length. Cant compare.

Just try pulling one plug at a time. you can run the prop with any number of plugs pulled out. I'd try that.

Bravo one does both stern and bow lift. I had a bravo, one on a two-stroke Evinrude with six holes wide-open and it had a great whole shot.

Most guys with 4 strokes plug them all it has torque the open vents help a 2 stroke spin up for a better hole shot without blow out .but I'm no expert .I plug all mine and had them open with my 2 stroke and using same bravo 1xs

On my boat the Bravo 1 has much better holeshot than the Bravo FS. A 26P Bravo 1 planed every bit as quick as a 24P Bravo FS. However the Bravo 1 had more stern lift and required more trim to lift the bow than the Bravo FS. The Bravo 1 was slower but if it would have been a 24P like the FS they would have been closer. I ran both props with all vents closed and no issue coming on the plane with my heavy non pad, non bass boat.

FS only has 4 pvs holes in stock form. You either had an XS or FS with 4 pvs holes added.
