    Norris Lake Mid-May

Need a little help with Norris Lake. I have never fished there and was wondering what I could expect mid May.
The reason I'm asking is we always try to pick a new lake every year and Norris made the list this year.
I'm not looking for spots just what it's like and can I avoid the pleasurer boaters.

    Thanks
for any help you can provide

If you are there during the weekend be prepared for the wake boats from Ohio.

Is it too late to pick literally any other lake in the state? Norris can be good-ish during the fall through early spring. Any time outside of that is a tough tough place. It's big, deep, clear, and doesn't have a great population of bait to support a good population of fish. Once the days get into the 80's most people that fish it on do so at night. On top of that it's a play lake.
Like Jason said, pleasure boats run the place ragged in the summer.
If cool weather hangs around through May, you may find a few spawners left and some post spawners staging. If it gets hot early they'll be scattered deep and tough to find.
