I'm trying to come up with a reason for the tread grip on the heel.
There was a time that I didn't fish but I cannot remember it.
Throw a bassboat company logo on them suckers and they would fly off the shelf. Everyone knows that you a special fishing shoe to complete that special fishing outfit.

Been wearing New Balance shoes for over20 years. Only shoes I can find in extra wide. Never bought white though. They wouldn’t stay white very long
My wife just bought a pair of those.
These are a re-release of the older New Balances from the 70's / 80's. They're not new and are FUGLY!

never seen velcro laces in my life. Maybe velco straps but you might be onto something here. What if there was a small amount of velcro on the ends of the laces. And when you got done tying your shoe, you could velcro them so the laces stayed tight and didnt flop around coming loose over the length of the day... HMMMMMM!!!
LOL. True. I finally broke down and bought some Hokas to try for the plantar fasciitis after trying NB, Skechers and Brooks. We will see if they help. They are damn sure ugly so they better help.
I wear NB shoes, but those are fugly.
Wear 990-4 NB in gray. Most comfortable and longest lasting tennis type shoes I have ever owned. I also have some black Nikes that are comfortable but not going to make it long under me. I wear work boots more than half the days. That is a shoe that I would not wear if you gave me a pair. Weird science looking
They look like you would roll and ankle playing pickle ball.......
