    24v/12v connection

I have a 24v trolling motor with 2 batteries connected in series. I want to run a 12v trolling motor to be used as a crappie brake. Can I connect the 12v motor to one of the batteries to get 12v.

That I don’t know. I’d contact the dealer the batteries were purchased from.

Don't have any experience with this... just what I read. Many people say you don't want to cause a misbalance in SOC between the 2 batteries in series. The Trollbridge gets around this by supplying 12V from the batteries AND placing them in parallel when the 24V trolling motor isn't being used, allowing them to rebalance themselves.
