I think the only footwear I've worn for the last 20 years has been Merrells. I got rid of my last pair of white New Balance maybe 5 years ago.
Can't fish barefoot or with flip flops. Need support.
Oh wait I have a pair of Bostonian dress shoes to wear with my 2 suits. Blue suit for a wedding, black suit for a funeral.

Would those go with the color scheme of your boat? You might start a trend.

Instead of getting Christie’s On Cloud shoes, my wife volunteered to buy me Merrill’s (birthday in a couple months), based on a couple of the recommendations above. I weigh-in at 286, so I’d probably squish the On Clouds like a pancake anyway. Three posts up, anybody else check out the size of that bass the Ghost Whisperer is holding? If he caught that in Connecticut, that’s even more impressive. I’m still convinced I caught a lake record, however, anybody ever find official scales and a wildlife agent readily available at midnight? My fishing partner witnessed the catch but he’s ugly, so he doesn’t count. I guess it will remain just another big fish story.

I am way out of touch with the shoe world. I been wearing deck shoes on the boat and around the house for the last 40 years. I just don’t like barefoot or flip flops on the boat.

First, No, my Merrells don't match my boat. But I would wear them if they did. Blue and black with some silver pinstripe would be fine.
The fish in my avatar was indeed caught in CT. Actually only 6 1/2 lbs. My arms aren't extended. But my buddy who took the pic just got the shot right.

I'm from Texas. I have 3 pairs of boots that i wear. Lucchese crocodile in black. I have a pair of twisted x and probably the most worn are my Ariat relentless brown. I don’t wear boots unless I’m going hunting, wedding, or to the stock yards.

I’ve had HeyDudes, knock off Heydudes, crocs and onclouds. The Onclouds are just tennis shoes, nothing special. I prefer my $40 BassPro knock off Heydudes. More comfortable, lighter, and easier to get on and off.
