    Minn Kota Maxxum latching issue

When I deploy my MK Maxxaum 101 TM it does not initially latch, i have to raise the motor and kind of slam it back down. Really hit the thrust pedal for it to lift then let off and it drops and latches. I have notice some splay in a few of the pins/bushings. Best way to repair or parts to replace? thanks

Usually play in the mount doesn't cause this. If the mount is bolted down too tight to an uneven surface it can warp and fail to latch. Sometimes you need to shim under one or more bolts.

When you have the troll motor between stow and deploy rock it back and forth and see if there is any play in it. Usually after a while of use the pivot pin on the lower arm of the mount, wares into the lower are pin hole. that happen because the bushing which is a blue insert wares out and chances are you may not be able to fix it without buying a new lower arm. Not sure if it a maxium or maxium pro. I will provide both diagrams to see what you dealing with. Item 40,41, and 35 in first diagram.

44,45 39 on second one the lower arm for the pro is NLA complete , but I think you can get individual parts.
