    recessed trolling motor tray

Before I buy one.......Which one should I get for an Ultrex pedal. Is there anything under the floor I should know about before I begin cutting??? Any suggestion on how far forward to put the recessed tray? I am going to add a graph up front for FFS and it seems like the recessed tray will make everything much better as far as mounting the graphs. Thanks!!

I have an ultrex and have the Comfort troll deluxe tray. Do have anything flush mounter on the bow you can remove to see whats under the front deck? Champion used a pvc or conduit to run wires through. The only other thing you will encounter is foam.

To see where I could put the tray in my champ , I took a 4" hole saw and first cut a hole in the center of where I thought I wanted the tray , then probed around until I was sure it would fit .
With the tray hole there it makes mounting the trolling motor easier , also needed to work on the bow eye , It was impossible to get to any of that before .
Maybe because I used to have a Bass cat but I wanted my tray as far forward as I could get it , I notched the tray to fit forward20231210_114658.jpg

Ran into a conduit on the deck of my 203, but not on my 190.

Hans, please come back and update this when you get a chance. I have the same 1996 FH 190, so I am interested in what you find. Also, be mindful the gas line runs through there if you have the front gas cap.

Good point on the gas line. My cap is up front too. I hope to remove the access holes up front today and look around with a camera. I will post back. Thanks!!
