    X19 vs H18 ride?

Will the extra foot in length made a big difference in the ride? Still looking at a 2006 X19 or a 2014 H18PFC. The x19 has around 400 hours on the Otpimax with low water pickup. The H18 has 50 hours on the Yamaha 115.
I like that the H18 has a wider front deck. But also like some of the X19 better. Also the X19 has a none stock 2002 Optimax, more like a 225. 10" hydraulic jack plate.

You may want to check the beam again on the X19 vs H18. I believe the X19 is wider.

Also hull thickness. I think the X19 has .125 gauge aluminum vs .100 on the H18.

Check both and the H18 is wider than the 2006 X19 at the front deck where I need it to be. 59" on the x19 and 66" on the H18PFC As for the hull thickness, I'm not sure on that. Tried to find that today, but could not find anything on the H18PFC. I do know the X19 is 125.

Found it and the H18PFC got the .125 hull in 2018.

I think I see where I was wrong. I was comparing X19 to H18 bass models.

Is the H18PFC a panfish model?

The panfish models sometimes have two crappie seats side by side up front it would make sense for their width to be further forward.

Yes the crappie edition, with 3 seat bases up front. But has the same hull as the others.
Anyone have a ideal how the 18ft would ride compared to the X19? Again same hull other than one foot shorter. Plus with the 115 sips fuel compared to the 3.0 engine.

If the 18' has a Hyperlift hull then it should ride fine.

If I intended to fish with 3 adults I think you would like more 115 h.p.

You are correct about the 115 sipping fuel.

I had 2011 H18 with the hydraulic steering on it and a 150 Vmax 2 Stroke. Rode fine tapping out at 70mph, I upgraded to the X21 so I could fit my family of 4 who all love to fish. See the Pic of the H18 I use to have. I do miss it from time to time.

Only be 2 in it, just sit side by side up front. Livescope and spider rigging for crappie.

You will not be disappointed either way. It will depend on your preferences.

My 2021 X 18 rides great but I have not ridden in a X 19. If its a newer model H 18 it's probably wider than the older X 19 which should make the 18 more stable up front.

Thanks guys, still trying to make what mind I have left up. Part of me wants to go Glass, but the waters I fish scream tin. Right now I have a 1825 Pro Guide Tiller Lund. Love the boat, but not the deep V. Some of the lakes we fish. You run to the bank, and need waders to get to the dry bank. But rides great, has more room than any bass style boat. Shoulders on longer like running big tiller handle motors. So time to make a swap.
Also have a Wareagle 754 Tiller boat. Like fishing out of it a lot. As long as the winds don't blow. Or boat traffic is not bad. It rides like a log wagon in August hard pan.

I'd go with the wider front deck of the H18 if two of you will be crappie fishing up front. The X19 is going to ride better but what good is a slightly better and much faster ride if the other boat will suit your needs better with a wider front deck? Being the crappie layout you probably also have a livewell up front while the X19 probably only has one in the back. Now that we know there will be two of you up front it looks like the wider front deck on the crappie boat will be better where you'll spend most of your time. Speed and ride quality are nice but what good is all that if the space forward of the console isn't catered to your needs?

I have owned both an H18 and an X19. X19 will ride just a tad better but really not going to be noticed unless you are in some really rough chop. The H18 is a very nice setup I wish I had never sold the one I owned.

The ONLY reason I would go back to glass is trying to get every last MPH out of a boat. As long as there are decent design aluminum hulls I will be sticking with it. CJ
