What's the procedure ? Do you rinse it out
Todd Castledine did a video on it recently, worth checking out. He uses way more than I do, though :).
Also, it's best to do the whole boat, ie not just a spot. I actually did a spot recently where I was hanging no1 off the side of the bow, got distracted and got some on the carpet. I flushed it with some water at the time, but when I got home you could still smell it a bit. So I grabbed some barbersol and cleaned it right up. But, since that part has been cleaned and the rest of the deck has not, it stands out... So I'll probably do the whole deck soon.
rinse with water then carpet cleaner or shop vac to suck water up
Alternative method is you don't have a bunch of shaving cream laying around...
You put it on and scrub it out. Here’s the kicker - ANY cleaner works if you’re going to scrub it out.
Lots of carpet fibers being broke down when scrubbing. I did the same thing when I owned a boat, but not with shaving cream. I used a mixture of simple green and water and it worked amazing.
