Cant give you first hand info, but my MIL is on her second bout with Lung cancer.....first go 'round she had surgery to removed the tumor, worked for a few years, this past year, it came back same spot. Dr.s wouldnt let her have surgery, so she started treatment with chemo and keytruda.....chemo was kicking her ass and dr.s took her off of it, stayed on the keytruda.....as of last month, the tumor is non detectable on her CT scans......her brother is going thru the same thing (same treatment) and is having the same results with tumors......

    Hopes this helps you.....

They suspected me of having it a few years ago. Dr monitored the tumor and found no growth. She said it's important to catch it early on and if you do it's very treatable. Praying for you and much success.

Look into a "VATS" Lobectomy procedure (video assisted thoracic surgery) They are very common nowadays. The success rate is very high and the recovery time is low.

My son had stage 4 cancer that started with two tumors on his head but spread to a mass of tumors in the lymph nodes of his neck, two tumors in his right lung and another tumor in his abdomen. They treated him with a trial drug which they injected directly into the tumors in his neck and with Keytruda which was done by infusion. I can't remember exactly how many rounds he took but it was around 14 months or so. He has now been in remission for 5 1/2 years.

Keep a positive attitude and ask your doctor any questios that you have.

Glad they caught it early! Best wishes and stay strong. I know a few that had later stages than you and all worked out of the best. Take care!

Uncle had it twice now. Caught it early both times and he beat it both times. Not sure of his treatment other than Hershey Medical center did all his stuff. I think his first round was 10-12yrs ago. Keep the faith. Find good doctors and eat healthy and exercise when u can. Good luck and prayers.

I had it done last October, they removed the upper lobe of my right lung and spent 4 days in hospital. I feel great now
