    Nice boat.

Doesn’t quite check all of MY boxes but I know the design folks can’t check All the boxes on everyone’s list.

Thanks for the heads up Steve. But that’s going the wrong way for me. Probably make someone else pretty happy.

I want a true 18’ CC boat. The thing that keeps me out of Vexus and most other CC boats is the front deck layout. In my perfect world the deck would extend back to about 18” in front of the console seat and not have the step up to the deck. When I ordered my 1880 I had it built without the little step/day box.

That should be an easy fix. Fab shop can make an insert for that area with no issue. I would have it bolt-in design in case I wanted to remove it some day. I had one in my Bass Cat for a number of years.

That can absolutely be done and I know the guy to do it. He put a 30” deck extension on my Jon boat for me.

The problem with a fixed extension like you’re thinking about would limit access to the livewell/cooler that’s there. You could also hinge the extension so you could still get in that box I guess.

I know this is just my twisted sense of thinking but I just don’t get why there needs to be steps like that in any boat. My old Triton TR-18 had one and it made me crazy. I guess I’m the outlier. Fortunately the deck layout of my 1880 is perfect without the step.
