    Out of this world

Have not had many clear nights for deep space photos but did get out once. This is the Orion Nebula, a stack of 200 photos with a 15 second exposure.

That took some work I imagine! I read where scientists now think the cloudy substance is oily or sticky possibly like hydrocarbons. Crazy but it is still an amazing picture. Good job on your behalf!

What scope are you using to see it?

Going to be getting one closer to my retirement for something to do after I come back to the dock from that evening/early night fishing.

Any issues with the single attachment point with image being stable and not moving around?

Not so far, but I am a newb at this. This is from my first, and so far, only time out with a telescope. Once I get it setup and aligned the rest was pretty easy, except for my focus being off and a little overexposed. With the auto alignment accessory, the initial alignment is easy.

I did buy a wedge to make it an equatorial mount but had problems getting it to align right so took a step back and removed the wedge. Will try it again after I get some experience.
