Congratulations on the purchase! I know the 3.1L OX66 really well (I own a 225). Make sure you clean the 02 sensor, and the port that is behind it. Their are lot's of youtube video's on it. It does have 3 low pressure mechanical fuel pumps which sounds like those were replaced. After 3-4 years, the diaphragms go bad and will leak. Always run Yamaha Ring Free with your gas! With the right prop and jack plate height, you should not have "high bow rise". That might have been operator error in the video and or setup. Enjoy the boat and welcome to the Champion family!

Thanks for all the tips fellows. I really appreciate it. Got the boat in the RV barn. NC loves your money for title, tags, and taxes. Leaving for Florida Sunday and will get on the lake with the unit when it warms up in the spring. This 64 year old man can't take cold weather anymore. I can tell you the quality of construction and detail is evident in the unit.

Question for you 188 owners. What size Plano boxes are you using? We are in Florida for the winter. Trying to get some stuff ordered before Spring in NC. Thanks.
