    New High performance Tin

I just watched an episode of the Bilge Podcast featuring John Paul Morris of Bass Pro Shops. During a conversation with Chris Zaldain he slipped out that White River Group has a high performance\
aluminum boat getting ready to come out, I would assume around the Classic. They did not say what brand it would be. While I am not a fan of the White River products, I remember years ago
when John Morris and Bass Pro/Tracker ventured into stretch formed aluminum and produced the Avalanche Bass Boat that was rated for up to a 175HP. I always thought this boat while not perfect was ahead of its time. It will be interesting what they end up producing that could compete with Xpress or Gatortrax.

I agree the Avalanche was ahead of its time. Non-welded aluminum and higher HP ratings really made this boat very attractive. I've ridden in and fished out of a couple of them. Some porpoising issues on the ones I've been in, but an incredible stable platform and very enjoyable to fish out of.

Knowing JM's history, he probably bought Gatortrax.

I've heard from a reliable (WRM associate) source that it's a 20+ footer Ranger rated for a 250.

That was/is a pretty darn cool hill. I looked at one during my search for a tournament style aluminum boat 7 or 8 years ago. Morris and Clunn built the Tracker TV18 and it's a great hull. I've got a Fisher Pro Hawk 180 (hull that the TV18 is based upon) and it's a great boat.

I wouldn't say that, I have seen some tins that would outrun my glass boat. Guy has an Xpress X19 with a flashed 200 SHO that will run 80+.

I bet it ain’t nearly as bad ass when it has a 250 and actually rigged to go fish out of it. My flashed 150 on my skeeter could go 80’s if I didn’t have more than one battery, a single console, no trolling motor, no power poles, only a graph with no gauges.

Would it still be a skeeter after all those changes? Besides, towing a boat on the highway in the 80's is not safe
