    Cranking Battery for Truck

My 2018 Tundra battery is reaching its lifespan and I need a new one. I always bought the top Diehard. Now that they are sold at Advance Auto Parts, are they just as good? If not, What are the good ones these days?

Neither Diehard nor Sears ever made batteries. Diehards have always either been Exide or Johnson Controls/Clarios. The current Diehards are made by the same company that made them for most of the last 50 years. They also make Everstart which are cheaper and the same batteries. If you like the label to say Motorcraft, ACDelco, Toyota or a bunch of other brands, you can pay varying amounts of money to get the identical battery with a different label.

Pick the cheapest one/best warranty/easiest access to exchange. Otherwise no difference.

If you plan on keeping truck forever you may want to check out the Toyota limited life time battery or something like that.

Exactly and they are half the price. Been using them for 30+ yrs and never had a problem. I bet I bought 30 of them for cars, trucks, boats, kids car, tractors.

I always go to Walmart and get biggest that will fit. Last time I bought one they had 3 year warranty. Best around me. Many only 6 months to 1 year.

Just replaced mine in a 2018 F150. Bought a Duracell AGM auto battery from Batteries & Bubs at a slight discount. Good specs on this battery. I’ve been getting coupons over the holidays from these guys.

I like Sam's Duracell batteries. They are made by East Penn Mfg.

Just purchaed a Walmart Everstart MAX group24F 750cca for $140 plus tax. $22 core charge so be sure to take an old battery. This price was almost 100 dollars cheaper than the local Auto Zone for an equivalent battery.
