Curado K or New Tatula 100?

Can I get some input on these two reels. The Curado K would be $25 less than the new Tatula 100. I do have the previous Tatula 100 and it's good. Haven't had a new Shimano in 8 yrs.
I know Gary (Bronzefly) likes the new Tatula.
    Thanks AL

Oh, what gear ratio would you get?

Two very different reels. K is a large reel and came out in 2016? 100 is a small frame and equipped with newer tech. The new curado 150 would be more apples to apples. Personally, I had K’s for a year and absolutely hated them. Way too big for my liking. I have all Tatulas(sv tw’s and elites) now and will probably never go back to shimano. You really need to hold both on a rod and see which feels best.

I like the Curado's. Always been a Shimano fan but have had a few Daiwa's that I just didn't like.

There's only gonna be two clubs weighing in here. See above.
I had a Shimano Curado HG and really disliked it. I run Tatulas and Zillions and couldn't be happier.

(I do, however, really like Shimano and prefer their groupsets above other brands on my bicycles)

I like Shimano reels also. For the difference in price, I would go with the latest generation of Curado 200, the M series that has the MGL spool and a bunch of new features. Like it was said, the 200 is a fairly large reel and a lot of people like that. I have a 150 MGL Curado that I like a lot. It's smaller and easier to palm with my hands.

What applications, techs, rod, line are you intending for this reel?

I know not apples to apples but I bought a Tatula CT and don’t see what the big Daiwa fuss is about. decent reel for the money but was expecting much more. Next reel will probably be back to Shimano. Based on my experiences, I’d be picking a Curado 150.

Intending for jigs or frogs, 30 lb braid. I don't have a "technique" specifically, I go with feels the best on the rod I choose. I don't make my fishing science.

I use the 100 for jigs but thinking of trying the Tatula pitch/flip reel.

Curado centrifugal for bombing frogs and Tat 100 SV for Jigs. Overall, the SV Tat 100 would be more of an all around reel while the CU K is more of a power tech reel...honestly, I would go OG Shimano platforms before a CU K platform, but that's me.

    Good luck.

I’m a long time Curado user. I tried Daiwas for a few years, they are nice reels, but I don’t like how the palm. The 100/SV is even worse for me. I also do not like the location of the mag force dial, it’s easy to bump and it rubs my finger. The SV is overbraked for my liking too. Good reels, just not for me. I am a fan of Daiwa spinning reels.

I had Curado K reels, very nice but fussy with some lures. It’s a large frame that still palms great, at least to me. That being said I have the new 200M and feels it’s a better reel. It seems to handle a large range of lure weights better. I have a Curado 150mgl also and would like more. To me, it’s the best Curado ever made. It is so smooth, and a great caster! I have SLX mgl 70s that I like nearly as much. To me, shimanos with the mgl spools are where it’s at.

Also, you have already said you purchased a Curado K, correct? And that you don't like using your thumb during the cast? If this is the case, then the SV would likely yield the same casting performance as the CU K with the braking set up for no thumb and no backlash and achieving shorter casts...per your post:

Yes. The reason for the Curado K was the fact that it holds a lot of line and the clearance price. My Scorpions do not have a lot of capacity for 30 lb braid.
