    HDS Live Wiring

    The power plug for the HDS 9 has more wires then the Elite TI2 power plug but the power plug for the Elite Ti2 can work for the HDS.
    My question is what is all the extra wires for the HDS power plug?

    The small fine wires are for NMEA0183 and the Yellow wire is a signal wire to turn on or off other devices with the HDS.

    Basshopper, so I don't have to use those wires because I'm using NMEA 2000? I can just trim them and tape them off correct?

    That's what I do with mine, then use heat shrink to keep moisture out.

    Thanks for the info Justinp61, I was worried when I saw all those wires. I'm just going to use the HDS for forward facing and maybe 360.
