Got a buddy that shoots one and he really likes his.
A really nice round but hard to find ammo for.
I have 2 300 WSM guns and have yet to find anything i like yet in a factory round.

I bought one several years ago for an ELK hunt. I shoot it from time to time on my range. I used barns triple X for the Elk hunt. One shot one kill.

I have a Winchester Model 70 WSM and love the gun. Super accurate and flat shooting. I also use the Barnes triple X. Ammo can be a little difficult to buy.

Never saw much point in them as the 270 win already pushes the bullets hard.

Short action and it's a little hotter than a 7mm-08. Looks good on paper but I don't have the need to fill every little cartridge niche in the book

I think it's a good round but I wish ammo was more plentiful.

Wanted one for the specific use on antelope, but got a 6.8 western, what the 270wsm should have been but was designed like 2 years to early to catch on in the heavy for caliber bullets and efficiency, chamber dimensions improvements

had a 300wsm and sold it to a coworker

.270 WSM is a great cartridge. Plenty of ammo to be had through Ammoseek.

I shoot the 300 WSM and two friends shoot the 270 WSM really like the rounds, both of them. nice flat shooting rounds mine and one of the 270's are Browning A Bolts very accurate best ammo i shoot is the Winchester Ballistic Silver Tips but I have shot the Deer Season ammo also and it shot well and now is easier to get I haven't found the silver tip since the covid ammo shortage started lucky i had plenty.

I bought a Winchester Model 70, 270 WSM from my stepfather in law. Not like I needed another long gun but for $200 I couldn't say no. I've never shot it but from what I have read up on, it's a good long-distance round. Bullets are hard to find locally and they are expensive.
