Ceramic insert fell out of guide.. reinstallation.

Noticed the ceramic insert came out of one my casting rod guides. Was able to locate the ceramic insert, am I able to just epoxy the inside frame area and reinsert the ceramic insert and let it cure? Not sure how much to apply (needed) to make it durable and free from coming out again accidentally.

If you can get it back in, you certainly can. You want just enough to glue it without getting it in the guide. After you insert it, you could take a q tip and alcohol and clean off access. If it comes out a second time just replace.

You can though it'd be better to just find someone to replace it. As far as how much to use...as little as possible, won't take much, if you have to wipe up excess you've used enough...mix some up (any kind of standard 2 part is fine) and apply with a toothpick. Definitely wipe off the excess from the ring, alcohol is fine just don't like saturate it. Might last a long time might not.

Thanks for the info fellas, ended up cleaning the guide scraped off any extra epoxy around the insert and guide frame. Did the 2 part epoxy light coat and put the insert back pretty clean. Hope it holds up only time will tell

Same here. Used superglue on some inserts 10 years ago and still solid. I use the glue at the base of the ring ( closest to the rod) .

Great job, just be aware whatever caused the ceramic to fall out in the first place is still in effect now, they don't fall out for no reason. A glue bond is not what holds them in.
