KVD square bills and a few Rapala/knock offs work. Don't throw cranks often but always have a square bill on the deck.

Ah, so many. For a long time, down in your area, it was a Daiwa Peanut in the mid/deep diver. Before that a Bandit 100 when cranking shallow wood was hot on the Bay. I've since expanded my obsession to wood baits.

Overall favorite is a hot mustard DT-6. Also like the older Bill Norman deep baby N.

In the spring time I always have a Stike King 1.5 shallow tied on. As the water warms my go to is the Strike King 1.5 and a DT 6 and a DT 10.

I'll always have a soft spot for the Bomber Square A. It was the first crank I had my breakthrough aha moment when I was teaching myself to crank and overcame my fear of throwing a treble hook bait into heavy cover on purpose.

If I can only have one, it's this one... year 'round producer for me.

Academy CRM in Bluegill... The old ones, not the newer models available since they re-did all the H2O series baits (they're not the same).

Luckily, I was able to snag about a dozen of them as they were being phased out. Added to the ones I already had; my stock will hopefully last through the remainder of my fishing days.
