    Pre-Thanksgiving

What's going on the smoker, grill, griddle, microwave whatever!

What's getting cooked before the big meal during my first place Detroit Lions game! Some kind of Jalapeno for me.. but that's as far as I've gotten.

I did ribs last night. Probably wings on Sunday. Need to do a small pork butt next week because folks want tamales with Thanksgiving dinner. Also need to show up with egg rolls that day. I’m not doing any of the ‘heavy’ cooking this week.

My son will bring my old pellet grill to our house Thursday morning and smoke a spatchcocked turkey. I'm gonna smoke a couple of racks of ribs on my current smoker. Wife will do all the hard work preparing all the traditional sides.

I just finished rubbing the turkey with butter, Kosher salt and pepper. It's now uncovered in the fridge till tomorrow. I did this last year and couldn't believe the difference it makes.

I am dropping a spatchcock turkey in some brine and will be putting it on the Masterbuilt 800 tommorow (Thanksgiving), and have 3 rack of St Louis ribs for the weekend.
