I found one at a great price pretty close and in great condition. I fish smaller lakes and it looks like it has. Nice rod storage. What are your likes and or dislikes?

I have had a 08 for 9 years now. It is plenty big enough for two and yet small enough to get into smaller shallower areas. The rod boxes will not hold anything over 7 foot, (7"1 1/4" to be exact) and both of my boxes have tubes. If it does not have a recessed pedal one can be added as it is molded into the deck, it was not a bad job. You can store it in less than 22 feet with the outboard up and tongue folded back. If you want speed, I have seen 43-44, but never 45 with a 115 Evinrude and factory Viper prop. One thing I would change is a little more wind protection.
Thanks for the info Jeffie.
Where’s the boat located? Mind if I take a look too? Been interested in those for a long time
Thanks for the link. That answered my questions. I also found the dimensions in an old Ranger catalog I had.
I've had mine for about 8 years now. It came with a Evinrude ETEC 115. Still has only 123 hours on it. It's been the best boat/motor I've ever owned. I think it is underpowered though and could easily handle a 150.
That's the way I feel about my 178...It could probably handle a 200.![]()

I would agree on the horsepower rating,
They squared the bow off at 17'7". If it had been allowed to come to a point it would have been well over 18'. Just sayin'.
