I believe he is that good. The way I understand it, his uncle was BFF with Aaron Martens and Tucker spent a lot of time in the boat with him. Of all the successful college anglers to come through Auburn, he comes across as the most respectful.

Saw Tucker today. He was very very quiet and laid back.

Was he just an innocent bystander in the hole sitting scandal? Did he last chance qualify and show up and stumble upon the winning school of fish at the bass pro us open without obtaining information after the cutoff?

The former makes many folks suspect the latter. The no info rules were very strict in that tournament and it was my understanding that there were several polygraph failures.
Are you an Auburn fishing insider enough to help clear the clouds of suspicion? If I were him, I'd be trying to persuade Johnny to release my passed polygraph results.

Wieghts are super low, don't know much about this fishery whether that's the norm or not. If so seems like an odd choice for a NC event.

Anyway, pulling for Fothergill, would be a nice win after his medical issues a few weeks ago.

I'm with you. I hope Fothergill can pull out the win. The kid has got alot of heart. He's gone through hell with his health situation and is still kicking butt. I have a very hard time rooting for the other guy after the stuff he's had happen in the past. The reason he's still competing to fish the classic blows my mind. I think it teaches our youth the wrong lesson.

Beyond terrible. The only reason they are there is the $ that is put up to bring them there. PLEASE don't believe them when they say it is the bass fishing capitol of KS.

After what Easton went through, I am pulling for him to win.

As someone with a son who had 2 trips to the bracket I can tell you its not money that brought them to this lake. Its by design. In the past they have used the typical big event waters (in our case Watts Barr in 2019)....but they made the change to use smaller less well known lakes in 2022 (in our case we fished Lake Greenwood Sc the 2nd time he made it). And to be honest it was welcomed, as the lakes they are picking now will have minimal information to be had on them. It really levels the field and makes guys work to break it down in only a few days.
In the past with the larger well known lakes there was a lot of times that competitors had vast knowledge of the body of water.

they were here in 2018. There are better even less known lakes here they could have went to instead if it was not about the money Geary Co puts out.

Understood and I knew that....I was simply clarifying the "money brought them there comment". And the why you will continue to see this event held on smaller less know bodies of water.

Being familiar with both of them, I don’t believe for a second that Tucker put Mr. Durham up to anything that went down. I see it more as Mr. Durham was triggered by someone encroaching on Tucker. The main reason they had been fishing together was the recent passing of Aaron.

I don’t know anything about polygraphs, but why would a local “stick” who might have shown them a magic spot not go and qualify and win the million dollars himself? Why give the winning spot to a couple of college kids from Auburn?

There are a lot of unanswered questions from the bass fishing fans. One of which is why lie about, allegedly knowing Mr Durham when in fact, he was allegedly staying with him? He seems to always catch good bags. His go-to answer is that he stumbled upon a good school and got lucky. He may be that good, but no one is that lucky. Tell him to come up with a better line if he wins this thing. I know you are close to his college and fishing team and have a HUGE amount of respect for you and your opinion. Thanks for weighing in...

Getting picked to fish a qualifying tournament for the Bass Pro US Open was like a lottery. I knew many people who signed up but didn't get selected. On top of that, you had to fish out of. Johnny Morris owned brand. Therefore, most local sticks didn't get in if they tried. I can only imagine what college fishermen networks are like.
You help me at your lake, I'll help you later at mine right?
Just my opinion, if he does everything that KVD did, he'll just be the Barry Bonds of bass fishing.

Lake is beyond horrible, great facilities just not very good fishing. (I grew up over in KC Missouri, still got family in the area and they all said WTF nobody fishes there on purpose)
I actually fished the BASS Nation Championship when it was held there in Nov 2008, (nobody wants to be fishing in Kansas in Nov, tends to be a bit chilly and windy, BASS weather canceled all of practice and 2 days of the tournament and had to extend tournament by a day).

    https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fi...champ1-08.html

And to add more fuel it was listed in BASSMASTER magazine as one of the top 5 worst events of all time.
