Nice looking hull design and much better deck layout on the 1880. Just built one and holy cow it’s in the fiberglass price range.

I just built one comparable to my 2020 1880 and it was close to $15k more than mine at $49k.
Thats with one 9” graph, no poles and the bottom end ultrex
Since I'm considering selling my loaded 2021 1880 AVX dual console with approx. 10 hrs - less than 15 (only had out total of 9 times), I also checked web site and came up with just under $54,000. Not sure how big the deck difference is as mine has as big a front deck as last 5 bass boats, all of which were 19' with 200hp motors. Big difference as due to extreme severe health problems looks like going to have to sell - likely list in the $37 to $38,000 range? Huge jump in prices last 2 yrs.
built one like my new ranger, was 12k more for a tin 20 footer

The 1880 also has the.125 hull which is great imo, still way under powered though.
I use mine twice a week year round locally, plus weekend tournaments. Then throw in a few multi day trips and my 1880 gets used alot. Its far from under powered. Would a 150 be faster? Sure but when it comes catching fish it’s always been the Indian and not the arrow.
Having said that with the price increases over the last few years. I would be looking at a Phoenix 818 for about the same money with more horse power.

The 2024 with thicker aluminum along with the extra mass/width of the front end, is indeed underpowered, should be 1880=150hp
1980=200
2080=250
When they were making the Evinrude 135 and you could get it on the 1880, now that was a hot combo especially if it had the wider deck the V2 has now.
For small waters it's fine, for large lakes you just have to plan accordingly as far as distance.
Aside from the lower HP this revised wider design for the AVX lineup is pretty awesome.
I see that the 1880 now has a 32 gallon fuel tank? Is that bigger than the original model?

Other than just wanting something lighter to tow and maybe bang around how could you justify a new 1880 over this? I think they were competitively priced before but are losing that battle now

I'm happy I got my 1880 4 yrs ago. Can't touch one now. Crazy how much more expensive it's become.
That Caymas price was a sell price on the 2022 model. Bet the 2024 is much higher similarly equipped now?
