Fishing up here in north ga these spots require lite line so I want to smooth out my drag if possible.
I have the carbontex drag washers and Carls drag grease on order.

Tatula ct already has carbon drag washers.
Polishing the metal washers and even lightly sanding down the cross weave on the Carbontex drags, and applying a light coating of grease helps to give smoother start up and more consistent release of line against the drag...however you will lose some overall top end max drag.
