    2 inch guage replacement ideas

I am looking for ideas on what to do with a 2 inch hole on my console. It was a fuel gauge that I don't need anymore due to upgrading my other gauges. I have a plug in it right now but was curious if anyone had any creative use ideas.

I added a temperature gage to my boat so I can watch for proper thermostat operation.

When you come up with something really good…let me know. I replaced my original tach and flasher with Yamaha Command Link gauges. Now I have an original speedometer that’s off by at least 5 mph, a fuel gauge, water pressure gauge, volt gauge, and trim gauge that no longer work nor are needed!

I might just rebuild the entire gauge cluster/dash.

Command Link dual gauge kit has that already…along with surface water temp, depth, fuel flow, oil pressure, water pressure, trim, dual fuel gauges, voltage, and some more Im probably forgetting.

Manual water psi gauge. If yours doesn't have one or if your existing is electric. The electric if it isn't off, it probably will be.

Live well water temp might be good. My gauge has time and water pressure. I can't really think of any additional information I would need at the console. I thought about putting a charger port there but its not a great location, its the upper left of the console, but if I mounted a go pro on the console having power there might be nice.

Temp or a digital depth finder is nice.! I had head temp on one once and that was handy in the days when I worked on my own motors.!

I really like the clock idea. I bet you could find one that sets automatically too!

Another idea would be to put a GPS speedometer in it. I've seen people replace the old pitot style with GPS versions that are actually accurate, but of course most of us have that info on our graphs so it seems newer boats don't have speedos at all. Several options I've seen that fit right into where previous gauges have been. Most are 3 3/8" (the larger size, as you would've seen with most boat speedos in the past), but I've seen 2" ones as well. It could be nice to have it on the dash if that's something you'd be interested in having.
