    Lowrance sonic hub replacement?

    IMG_20230815_144152~2.jpg
Would this work in place of my bad sonic hub? It looks to be a Garmin compatible unit. But it has a nmea2000 connection. Perhaps I should post this on the Garmin page.

It will, I have the same unit in my otherwise all Lowrance system. Fusion made the Sonic Hub for Lowrance actually. It's essentially the same type of unit but with Garmin Branding. Works seamlessly with Lowrance (or any NEMA compatable) head unit.

Will I be able to operate it on my Lowrance unit as well?

Yes, it is "brand independent" - as long as you have it connected with NEMA you can fully control it with a Lowrance Head unit. See my post No. 5 in this thread - https://www.bbcboards.net/showthread...ighlight=sonic

It does accept a weather/siriusxm antenna, which for Garmin is the GXM54. I do not know if it works with the Lowrance WM3 antenna, however - although they appear to have the same type of RCA connection to the unit.

I play SiriusXM over a BT connection to my phone.

I like that you have the option to turn it off and on at the unit, I don't have that with my Sonic Hub.

Not only that but you can control volume, advance or go back on a music selection and power it on and off. It's awesome.
