School me on some ocean fishing

Next summer, second week of July, my family will be vacationing in North Myrtle Beach. My son and I would like to do some ocean fishing. Anyone have a recommendation for a charter? There are a ton of options but I know nothing about them. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Narrow it down to inshore or offshore would be my first suggestion. If unfamiliar with that what species do you want to catch?

Everything that lives in the ocean eats shrimp.

Being from WI and having a chance to catch Salmon on the Great Lakes, I think you may enjoy an adventure of Red Fishing. They are like LMB on Steroids!

I literally just built a house in Rockport TX, so I could fist for reds all winter. They pull like a freight train and will eat top water. I catch the biggest on swimbaits or cut bait.

    NOT!
So throw a nightcrawler into the lake and you can catch everything! Bass, Bluegill, Pike, Small Mouth, Large Mouth, ....
So if you are targeting a specific fish, how it it any easier?

Salt water fishing, especially offshore makes bass fishing look like a bargain.
