Had a tournament get cancelled on the CT River due to the high water conditions/debris and moved to Whitehall in Hopkington. Any tips for this place?

Fish the weeds, that would be the whole lake
there used to be some real a-holes there that bothered the fisherman a lot. Hope they got taken care of.

What a cess pool that place is. Only 3 limits and 7 lbs won. The 12 mph speed limit isn’t enforced as all non tournament boats were zipping around everywhere. Then as you leave you get to spend 20 minutes taking weeds off your trailer.
I’ll be there on Aug 19th now I really am looking forward to going lmao

The lake gets hammered every year. There are at least 30 to 40 people out on the lake fishing from boats or kayaks every time I go and lake fishes very small for a good size body of water
I live in town and haven't bothered fishing it in a few years. Each spring there is usually a few 6+ lb fish caught but the place sees so much pressure it's hard to catch a limit most days. They'd be better off draining the place and starting fresh
Poor Whitehall. Place gets throttled by tournaments and local pressure alike. I live less than a mile away and rarely fish it. Just drove by on a Monday in late July and there are 5 or 6 rigs and a few kayaks in the lot. Such a shame because it really is a beautiful lake. Clear water and basically no shoreline development.

Its a different lake than most in the area. Tons of cover so the fish are scattered but there are a few overlooked spots that produce.
I didn’t find any of those spots. I did hit a 5.17 on the head but only caught one other 1 lber in 8 hours. Found a few things on Active Target but nothing was doing
I’ve won some good money on it … in the spring when all the weeds are dead lol got lunker of the year one year with one just under 7 in that pit
Fish are in it …..just so many places for them to hide under all the weed
You drove right by one of them. That little channel between the ramp and the main lake is usually holding fish mostly near the end where it breaks out. The pit (as mentioned above) and that little clump of brush also hold some decent fish. 4+7" worms, bass assassins and keitech's have worked really well for me there.
Caught my PB there (7-2) a couple years ago. I look forward to fishing there any chance I get.
Well had the T on the 19th bite was tough to say the least, caught a lot of small fish did have a limit by 8and then culled twice before 9 but from 9 to 12 couldn't cull the one smaller one I wanted to. Ended up 2nd but had Lunker of 3.27lbs. paulrodbender took first fished fairly close in the same general area the rest of the field struggled for the most part
