Garmin 8612's Turn Off When water splashes them Help!

I have 3 Garmin 8612's. One at the dash and 2 at the front. I fish Lake Erie a lot and when it is "sporty" out there it is common to have waves splash over the front while I am fishing. When my 8612's at the front get doused with water they constantly switch to a different screen or act like I hit the power button and turn them off. I use the lockscreen feature, but it does not help the next wave just turns the lock screen off. I constantly have to bend over in the waves and reset everything. I am talking like once every 5 minutes. This issue is driving me insane. Does anyone have any solutions to this issue?

Sounds more like a loose connection issue than water.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.
